R for Rock Spring Trail

A to Z:  R
Rock Springs Nature Trail is located on the Natchez Trace in Colbert County, Alabama.

As a child, my feet hopped across the stones
many times...and my brothers and sisters and I
loved to wade in the creek there.
Once, my grandmother slipped off one 
of the stones and fell into the water. 
It wasn't one of those times falling was funny.

this is the flower that attracts the hundreds of humming birds 
each September, I thought it best to include it again.
