Rock Springs Nature Trail is located on the Natchez Trace in Colbert County, Alabama.   





As a child, my feet hopped across the stonesmany times...and my brothers and sisters and Iloved to wade in the creek there.Once, my grandmother slipped off one of the stones and fell into the water. It wasn't one of those times falling was funny.


These pictures were taken over several seasons...

This photo was taken after a destructive storm rolled through earlier in the week.
 Beautiful Scenery along the trail  Lots of flowers and butterflies   I've posted both of these photos of Jewel weed already, but since this is the flower that attracts the hundreds of humming birds each September, I thought it best to include it again.

Beavers...there are lots and lots of destroyed trees
 So that the beavers can build their dams
 Beavers can be destructive
