Tuesday's Thoughts...Justice and Politics

Bring God back...
Into our schools
Our country
Our courts

There is a storm raging in America, and its intention is to destroy the very foundation on which our forefathers built this country.  We think we are fighting people, liberals, for example; forgetting that they are people, mere pawns in the devil’s plan to destroy a country of people who still have freedom.

Even with the full-force violence of the storm,
God’s house is still standing.
We live in such a busy, noisy, world.  And we sit, night after night, clicking links that demand our attention:  Advertisers, social media, news sites, gossip rags that disguise themselves as news, with their sensationalized headlines and deceptive articles; and we click, filling our minds with garbage.

We need a place to hide…
A prayer closet!   A bona fide war room!
…because we are in a war.

We can still win this war for our freedom in America.  Christians must begin to seek Him first, pray without ceasing (America desperately needs prayer), and live in obedience.  That is how we get into positions to be used by Him to bring our great country back to the Christian nation He intended us to be.

It is good news, my friends!   He loves us!  Even through all the pollution, His eye is on us, His children, believers…He is waiting for us to return to Him with repentant hearts and love for each other, and above all, love for Him.   A good, good Father wants good, good things for His children!

When we begin to cry out for justice for all that’s been taken from us, we’ll begin to see Bibles and prayer return to our schools, where our youth will be strengthened in wisdom, they are the future of America!  When we cry out for justice, Godly leaders rise up, because God places them in power!   When we cry out for justice, my friends, God shows up and restores…and anoints…and compensates.

Justice or judgment:  Join me in asking God for justice for our beloved country!
I will cry out to God Most High
To God, who performs all things for me.
He shall send from Heaven and save me;
He reproaches the one who would swallow me up.
Selah
God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.
Psalm 57:2

Wednesday...the Truth Edition

People can get pretty self-righteous when they get political, myself included, I suppose.  If it weren’t such an important issue, the back-and-forth “my candidate is better than yours” debate would be pretty good sitcom material simply because of the outlandish things people will defend.

But it’s not comedy, it’s a sad situation.  We have people who think they are electing a queen if they vote for Hillary, and a savior if they vote for Trump.  Who will be helped by those who vote for Gary Johnson or one of the other third party candidates?  Will it be Trump or Clinton?  Probably both.
Sometimes I wish I was able to shout loud enough for all America to hear:  TRUTH REALLY MATTERS!  But would they listen?  Too many folks are content to believe what is right before them and never do their own research.   Truth is swirling in a deep, deep sea of deception, and no one wants to work that hard…it’s too easy to believe what they see in print.   “It’s on the internet.  It must be true.”

Y'all stop it!   Don’t repost links to sites that use click-bait headlines and give you half-truths.   Conservatives, I am talking to you.   I am dismayed at the sites you all keep linking on your Facebook.   When half of it is false, and the other half only half-true, you are part of the problem!  No, we don’t want Hillary in office, but please don't repost crap (and there is no other word for those sites who disguise themselves as “conservative” but are a pack of lies just like some of the liberal sites).  We are better than that!

Not all liberals are liars.   Some are deceived…anyone who will support a known liar has no regard for the truth.  Truth is important!  It's time to wake up!  God hates lying; it is an abomination to Him.   How can we expect God to bless America when there is no truth?   Jesus described satan as the father of lies…no truth in him! (John 8:44)

Search out the truth, hold people accountable when they lie.  We cannot continue to reward falsehood!  Because of her lies alone, there is absolutely no reason Hillary Clinton should be on the ballot in November.  And the reason she will be is because people are drowning in an ocean of lies, too wrapped up in themselves to realize the danger they are in.

What happens when we fail to demand truth?
  • We begin to live in a dark world because of blindness.
  • There is no justice.  None.   What masquerades as justice is injustice.  Did you know God is appalled when no one cries out for justice?  (Isaiah 59)

If you truly care about where our beloved country is headed, please join me in praying the following for the 2016 Election:
  • That God’s will prevails
  • That truth prevails
  • That God protects the ballots against those who wish to cast fraudulent votes.
  • Blinded eyes are opened
  • Deception is brought to light
  • Safety for every voter, ballot and campaign worker, and candidate

Monday Musings: The “We Just May…” Edition

Huntsville Botanical Garden
If you are sitting at a red light, on a motorcycle, no less, and you pick your nose, and then your teeth with the same finger, someone just may see you in their rearview mirror and be a little grossed out as they eat their bacon and cheese biscuit.

If a coworker shows up to work with a little drink spilled on her shirt, have a little pity.  The story just may involve spider webs and jigs.  She will talk when she is ready.

If an eleven-year-old goes to the dentist for the very first time, and he casually mentions to her mother that some teeth will have to be pulled, when he wheels in a monstrous, scary looking machine and doesn’t explain that he is only taking X-rays and not pulling teeth, there just may be a meltdown in the dental chair.  I obviously thought :::ahem::: The child just may have thought he intended to rip her teeth out with that big machine, that’s why I was…I mean SHE was wailing, “But my teeth aren’t even loose!”

If, instead of “No Guns Allowed” signs on business doors, we saw “We are armed.  If you pull a gun, we will shoot first and ask questions later.” we just may have way fewer armed robberies.   Schools should consider other options, as well.

Since I haven't been posting anything serious lately, it just may be time for musings on current events later this week.  In the meantime...

I hope your Monday is a good one!

Thursday's Thoughts....The Do I Tell It All? Edition

For those of you who receive my updates via email, I apologize for the double post.  I was a little embarrassed when I posted "Thursday's Thoughts" on Facebook on Wednesday.   I am not the procrastinator I claimed to be!   (I wrote the post on Tuesday night, but in my head, it was Wednesday night, to post on Thursday.)
My dog, Roscoe...aka Rocco
Are you like me and there are times, for no apparent reason, a thought will pop into your head?   I mean, the kind of thoughts that make you look bad in front of God…and all you can do is say, “God forgive me for those thoughts that I didn’t think through before thinking them.”   (If you’re not confused, you are one of us…the melancholy temperaments folk.  I am melancholy compulsive, if you happen to know much about temperaments.)

And then there’s my mouth.   How many times I have to ask God to overlook my words.   There are times I don’t even think about not saying those things, especially if someone has made me mad.   Ashamedly, I admit there are times when a good thought sneaks in and says “Shut up!”   I usually ignore such a thought.

I know God forgives, repeatedly, thankfully.  Do you ever wonder if He gets really weary with our behavior?  Surely He must!   How many times can we ask forgiveness for the same thing before it gets on His holy nerve?   And you know He’s got one, He’d have to!  At some point He expects us to change.  I don’t like to think about my being on God’s one good nerve because I don’t change my ways.

I have a really hard time with change.  If I didn’t, I’d be skinny.  And healthy.  And I wouldn’t say things I shouldn’t nearly as much as I do.  Speaking of being skinny…well, I’m not.  But I did start a diet on Monday.   It lasted until around 2 p.m.  Eating is so much more fun than dieting.

I’d like to ask your opinion.   There is a young woman who has a “ministry.”  That is, she has a blog, a Facebook page with over 3,000 followers, and a book deal.   She professes to be a Christian, but twists scripture to fit her agenda. She publicly chastises other Christian writers (specifically one who wrote about voting for Donald Trump), claims to be pro-life (while praising Hillary and Michelle Obama) but says Government shouldn't tell a woman "what to do with her body."   She deletes the comments of those who disagree with her, and seems to particularly hate men, especially men in authority.  Here’s my question:  If I link her blog, post screen shots of her Facebook page, and write a rebuttal, would I be judging her, or would I be doing the right thing by exposing the deception (which is rampant and growing every day)?  Feel free to comment after voting...I'd like to hear your opinion.

Should I Name the Names and Tell the Tale?

Yes...if she's public, you can be, too.
No...let God be her judge.

Don't worry, I can't tell who cast which vote.
