There is a storm raging in America, and its intention is to destroy the very foundation on which our forefathers built this country. We think we are fighting people, liberals, for example; forgetting that they are people, mere pawns in the devil’s plan to destroy a country of people who still have freedom.
Even with the full-force violence of the storm,
God’s house is still standing.
We live in such a busy, noisy, world. And we sit, night after night, clicking links that demand our attention: Advertisers, social media, news sites, gossip rags that disguise themselves as news, with their sensationalized headlines and deceptive articles; and we click, filling our minds with garbage.
We need a place to hide…
A prayer closet! A bona fide war room!
…because we are in a war.
We can still win this war for our freedom in America. Christians must begin to seek Him first, pray without ceasing (America desperately needs prayer), and live in obedience. That is how we get into positions to be used by Him to bring our great country back to the Christian nation He intended us to be.
It is good news, my friends! He loves us! Even through all the pollution, His eye is on us, His children, believers…He is waiting for us to return to Him with repentant hearts and love for each other, and above all, love for Him. A good, good Father wants good, good things for His children!
When we begin to cry out for justice for all that’s been taken from us, we’ll begin to see Bibles and prayer return to our schools, where our youth will be strengthened in wisdom, they are the future of America! When we cry out for justice, Godly leaders rise up, because God places them in power! When we cry out for justice, my friends, God shows up and restores…and anoints…and compensates.
Justice or judgment: Join me in asking God for justice for our beloved country!
I will cry out to God Most High
To God, who performs all things for me.

As I was reading thru this post, my mind kept inserting two things. One, of course, is that this year's Feast of Trumpets may be the one in which we are caught up so it's good that you're giving a call to prayer as our hearts will be turned toward the One who shall stand in the sky to meet us. (For those of your readers who don't know what I'm talking about: The New Testament has recorded the fulfillment two ancient Jewish feasts, exactly on the date they were being celebrated. Jesus was crucified on Passover and the Holy Spirit was poured out on the new church during Pentecost. Because of that, many believe that the Rapture will occur during the Feast of Trumpets...when that "last trump" sounds. We don't know what year, but this sure is a good time to be looking up, election or not, since this year's Trump sounds the beginning of October.)
ReplyDeleteThe second thing I kept thinking was that I will not be asking for justice, I will be asking for mercy for this country. How cool it was to see that you ended your post with this verse: "God shall send forth His MERCY and His truth." To that I say, "AMEN!"
The foundation of the throne is justice and righteousness. Justice is mentioned over 500 times in the Bible, including Psalms telling us that the Lord LOVES justice and does not forsake His saints. The works of His hands are truth and justice. Jesus himself called justice the "weightier matter." The psalmist asked "O Lord, revive me according to Your justice." He executes justice for the oppressed (and Christians are oppressed!) We are told in Isaiah to seek justice; when justice is far from us, there is darkness. Luke asks, "Will not God grant justice to His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He delay to help them?" Isaiah also tell us that God was displeased that there was no justice, and He was appalled when no one interceded for it. We are the children of God. We are the ones who are to repent...and seek Him. After mercy and grace is given…when we repent…we want justice. We need to cry out for justice. We need to be like the little widow lady who kept knocking on the judge’s door asking him to “avenge me of my adversary.”

DeleteI think we also need to humble ourselves and realize we are nothing without God. Time after time in the Old Testament when kings or people would humble themselves, God would not bring the punishment/discipline he was planning to do. (think of Nineveh with Jonah). God wants to heal our land, we just have to do our part of humbling ourselves, praying, seeking his face, and repenting.

DeleteI was thinking we needed mercy. If we got justice, we'd be punished sorely for the way we've strayed as a country. I was thinking of the verse in James 2:13 "mercy triumphs over judgement". Though yes, I acknowledge the verses you sited re judgement. Still, I'm crying out for mercy.
